2019 Beach Volleyball

 

Our clinics will focus on skill improvement and teach beach volleyball techniques used at Club, High School and College levels. Players will also be instructed on beach volleyball rules and strategies to prepare for tournament play**.

 

**While players are encouraged to participate in weekend tournaments, it is NOT a requirement PSV Tournament Schedule can be found here: http://www.precisionsandvolleyball.com/events/

COACHES

Ed is the Co-Head coach of Sacramento State’s Beach Volleyball Program.  He also serves as the Hornet indoor team’s assistant coach. The San Diego native has 17 years of collegiate volleyball coaching experience, including serving as head coach of Div. II Academy of Art in San Francisco, and assistant coaching stops at Fresno State, William & Mary and UC Santa Barbara. He also oversaw a beach volleyball training program at Academy of Art, and helped with the sand training program at Fresno State.

Jackson also coached the men’s club program at UC Davis in 1998, and served as a graduate assistant during the 1994-95 academic year for the women’s team at Eastern Illinois. On the high school level, Jackson served as the director of volleyball and head coach of the varsity team at Rio Americano.  As a player at Sacramento State, Jackson earned All-American honors at two different positions (Setter and RS Hitter).  Outdoors, Ed was a dominant doubles player on both the grass and sand surfaces. 

SPVC Coach - Director of Player Development

Mark brings over 20 years of coaching experience to SPVC. He began his coaching career as a Camp Coach for the CSUS Women’s Volleyball Camps in 1991. In 1994 Mark was the founder, and Head Coach of the River City Volleyball Club and in 1996, Mark helped current Sac State Women's VB Head Coach Ruben Volta start High Voltage Volleyball Club.

 

On the prep level Mark has coached at both Jesuit and St Francis HS. Mark was on the coaching staff of the Sac State Men's Volleyball Team for 4 years (including one year as the Head Coach). Most recently, Mark spent three seasons coaching at St Ignatius Parish School, is now in his 4th season at SPVC, where he has  coached both the 12 & 13 year old ‘Power’ teams. As a player, Mark earned a number of accolades while starring at Sacramento State where he was a 3-Time All-American and National Team Invitee in 1991. Outdoors Mark has competed at the highest leveled 2-person events.
