Practice times are approximately 6:45pm - 8:45pm

 

Players are NOT REQUIRED to attend all practice sessions.  We understand that summer is a time with other commitments, and simply ask players to attend as often as they can.  Players will be placed on courts with others of similar age, skill and experience level.  Players can play with a regular partner should they choose to do so, but it is not a requirement to have a partner.  

 

Experience Requirements  All players are expected to have some prior volleyball experience (beach, indoor club or school).  We have a court on Tues & Thurs that is dedicated for younger athletes and those with limited volleyball experience. 

 

Weekend Tournament Play  SPVC Beach is affiliated with Sac Valley Beach Association  We invite our athletes to find a partner and participate in any of these weekend events should they choose to do so.  SPVC Beach will send coaches to these events to support our athletes.

A former indoor All-American and beach player, Mark has nearly 30 years of experience coaching at the youth level.

Instructor -

(Co-Head Coach, Sacramento State Women's Beach Volleyball)

The San Diego native has 25 years of collegiate volleyball coaching experience.  Prior to coming to Sac State, Ed served as the Head coach of Div. II Academy of Art in San Francisco, with assistant coaching stops at Fresno State, William & Mary and UC Santa Barbara. Jackson is also a member of the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships Committee.

Angela Lewis

As a former professional beach player, Angela is excited to share her knowledge and experience with SPVC Beach.  After a stellar indoor career, Lewis transitioned to the beach game where she accumulated a number of Top 10 finishes in her seven-year career on the AVP Crocs Professional Beach Tour.
